Anchor supports a range of community projects, and has been committed to Surf Life Saving NZ  and the  Fred Hollows Foundation for many years.

Surf Life Saving NZ
Surf Life Saving New Zealand Inc. (SLSNZ) is the charity representing 74 Surf Life Saving Clubs in New Zealand. Around 17,000 people are members of SLSNZ. According to patrol statistics , they rescued over 1,600 people in 2013 alone and were there to provide safety interventions a massive 349,000 times on our beaches in that same year.

Fred Hollows Foundation
The Fred Hollows Foundation carries on the work of a very special New Zealander, the late Professor Fred Hollows (1929-1993). Fred was an internationally acclaimed eye surgeon and social justice activist who championed the right of all people to high quality and affordable eye care.

The Fred Hollows Foundation was established in Sydney, Australia, on 3 September 1992, just five months before Professor Fred Hollows passed away.

They have a vision of a world where no one is needlessly blind. They work to restore sight and end avoidable blindness across Asia, Africa and the Pacific.
